In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Provider Registry

Program services include assisting the elderly and disabled with finding qualified home care providers; developing a system to refer IHSS providers to recipients; screening providers through the use of DOJ background checks to prevent abuse and neglect; providing training and on-going education to providers on performance of services for seniors in their homes, how to help people with diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, how to help people with physical problems such as ambulation difficulties, and how to help people with everyday activities such as grocery shopping and getting to doctor’s appointments; providing training and ongoing education to providers on State-implemented IHSS regulations; and sponsoring community health fairs.
